GO Health Services are proud to have been appointed by The University of Aberdeen as the contractor for the provision of occupational health services for students of the School of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition within its College of Life Sciences and Medicine:

GO Health Services provide a cost effective and professional service to the University whilst providing a professional, high quality and efficient service to students.

We offer a wide range of Occupational Health services to Medical, Dental & Physician Associate students of the University:

  • Pre-Placement Health Screening – GO Health Services shall provide expert and comprehensive health advice prior to students taking up course or practice placement.
  • Attendance Management / Case Referrals – The University may request an occupational health consultation to ascertain the student’s fitness to work (e.g. following a period of long term or frequent short term absence).
  • Immunisation Programmes – GO Health Services shall provide advice to the University on relevant immunisation programmes and participate in the delivery of such programmes.
  • Disability Assessment & Advice on Required Adjustments – Go Health Services will advise on aspects of study or practice placements which may affect the health of the students and will provide advice on any adaptations required in compliance with the most up-to-date legislation.
  • Management Following Exposure to Blood Borne Viruses – GO Health Services adhere to the NHS Scotland Occupational Health and Safety Standards regarding Care Following Exposure to Blood Borne Viruses. Needlestick injuries will be seen as an emergency within 24 hours of the incident.
  • Counselling Services – Provided by the University of Aberdeen Counselling Service.
