Due to potential occupational exposure to infections, OHS offers Varicella IgG Antibody screening where deemed necessary.
This is to determine if you have previously had sufficient exposure to Varicella (chickenpox) to build antibody protection against further infection. Where it is found that you do not have suitable protection against chickenpox you will be offered vaccination for this.

It is advisable that you are very well hydrated and warm for any blood testing appointments. Please contact our service if you are known to have poor venous access or any other issues which may require additional time for your appointment.
